Hey!!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been super busy! Anyway today I wanted to talk about mysophonia. Mysophonia is means the hatred of sound. It was covered on ABC's 20/20. The story was about 14 year old Taylor. Click the link to read her story. I recently found out I probably have it too.
Mysophonia is sensitivity to certain sounds. Certain "trigger sounds" can make you turn into the Hulk (minus the green). I remember one of my Hulk moments and so here it is:
One of my trigger sounds is scratching. More specifically squirrels scratching walls. My house is extremely old and there are holes everywhere. One is somewhere on the roof. There's a squirrel who lives in the walls of my room. Every time he/she/it scratches the walls, I go psycho. One particular time, I was sitting in my room listening to music. Then I heard it. I tried to ignore it but I just couldn't. After a while, I snapped. I got up, went over to the wall, and started punching and hitting the walls as hard as possible. After my little breakdown, my hands were all scratched up and bloody. Just because I heard one small sound. I can only imagine what it's like for Taylor and all those others who suffer from it.
I really don't know the point of this post other than educating you about what this thing is. If any of you think you might have it, there's a link on the page about Taylor that has symptoms you can check. If you do have it, I'm glad I could help you find out why you're going postal when someone crunches on a chip. :)
